The Roughnecks success would not stop there. They recovered a fumble and would tack on three more points to put them up by 10 going into halftime.

The Wildcats would turn the ball over on downs to the Roughnecks however, the Roughnecks drive stalled and LA started a comeback. They would score with 6:33 left in the third quarter and make it 18-14. The Wildcats continued to claw their way back and retook the lead thanks to a touchdown caught by Nelson Spruce in the back of the end-zone which put them up 20-18 at the end of the third quarter.

That’s not a good sign for the offense to be shut out in the 2nd half, and not score anything. For a 4 WR offense, that’s not good.
