Back in June TOGETHXR a media organization co-founded by Sue Bird, Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim, and Simone Manuel filed a lawsuit against the XFL over the use of X in its logo. According to Lawyer Darren Heitner the lawsuit has been dropped.
“TOGETHXR has filed a notice of voluntary dismissal, without prejudice, of its trademark infringement case against the XFL”
Heitner talked about the possibility of TOGETHXR winning the lawsuit back in June.
“TOGETHXR will have an incredibly difficult task of keeping this case alive. While the XFL’s “X” design may be closely similar to TOGETHXR’s logo, there are clear distinctions between the look and feel of both brands’ use of the marks and, further, the XFL seems to use the XFL name in close proximity in those situations that it uses its “X” on its own.”
In July, XFL Co-Owners Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Dany Garcia were present at the ESPYS, along with Soccer Star Megan Rapinoe. She and her wife, Seattle Storm star Sue Bird are part owners of TOGETHXR.
Maybe they had a conversation backstage?
Who knows if there is some partnership in the future, they got some money to go away, or TOGETHXR knew they did not have a chance to win in court. The good news is that this legal chapter is put to rest. The XFL can now put their money towards the season and not lawyer fees.

If they got some money to go away, then the Voluntary Dismissal would be “With Prejudice” as opposed to “Without Prejudice.” Since it’s without prejudice, the lawsuit can be refilled within a certain period of time.
