Seattle Sea Dragons Sign CB Olaijah Griffin

On Thursday, the Seattle Sea Dragons announced the signing of former NFL cornerback Olaijah Griffin, who will wear number 27 for the Sea Dragons. The addition comes after linebacker Jordan Evans was moved to IR.

College: USC (2018 – 2020)

College Accolades: Phil Steele All-Pac-12 Third Team (2019), All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention (2019, 2020), Pro Football Focus All-Pac-12 Second Team (2020)

Pro Experience: Buffalo Bills (2021 – 2022), New York Giants (2022)

Olaijah Griffin, son of rapper Warren G, played three seasons at USC after graduating high school as a 5-star recruit. Over his collegiate career, Griffin appeared in 25 games (15 starts), totaling 67 tackles (43 solo/24 assisted), 2.5 tackles for loss, 1 interception, and 15 pass deflections.

After his time at USC, Griffin signed as an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills following the 2021 NFL Draft. He appeared in all 3 preseason games but spent the majority of the season on the practice squad. Griffin was waived by the Bills in August 2022 and signed with the New York Giants practice squad a day later. He was waived by the Giants in November 2022.
