The Renegades answered back in the third quarter with a touchdown pass from Drew Plitt to Lujuan Winningham and a 53-yard field goal from Taylor Russolino, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Brahmas’ early advantage.
Both teams struggled to generate significant yardage in the air, with San Antonio’s Jawon Pass and Kurt Benkert combining for a mere 51 yards on 9 completions, while Arlington’s Drew Plitt and Kyle Sloter managed a more respectable 170 yards. However, the Brahmas’ rushing attack proved to be more effective, accumulating 111 yards on 24 carries compared to the Renegades’ 79 yards on 25 carries.
San Antonio’s Jacques Patrick led the Brahmas’ ground game with 82 yards on 15 carries, while De’Veon Smith paced the Renegades with 42 yards on 10 carries.
