PR: Houston Roughnecks And Kroger Announce Partnership For First Homegame

HOUSTON – The XFL Houston Roughnecks and Kroger announce a new partnership designating Kroger as the presenting sponsor for the team’s first game on Saturday, February 8 vs. the XFL Los Angeles Wildcats.
The Houston Roughnecks Home Opener Presented by Kroger features commemorative t-shirts for the first 15,000 fans in attendance. Roughnecks President Brian Michael Cooper will present Kroger’s Houston Division Vice President of Merchandising Rachel Ross with an official XFL Roughnecks game ball prior to kick-off.

“Kroger’s presenting sponsorship of the Roughnecks’ 2020 home opener reflects our shared commitment to the communities of Greater Houston,” said Cooper. “We are grateful for Kroger’s support and look forward to building a lasting relationship.”


“Kroger is proud to partner with the Houston Roughnecks for this historic moment in football, as well as in our city,” said Kroger Houston Division President Joe Kelley. “We look forward to seeing the impact this team will have on and off the field.”  

The Roughnecks’ home opener vs. L.A. will be nationally televised on FOX TV at 4 p.m. (CT).

ROUGHNECKS SCHEDULE AND TICKETS The Houston Roughnecks begin their 10-game regular-season schedule on Saturday, February 8 when they host the Los Angeles Wildcats at 4 p.m. Home games will be played at TDECU Stadium on the University of Houston campus.
