XFL Partners With Elevate Sports Ventures For Ticket Sales

The XFL has partnered with Elevate Sports Ventures. They are an upfront strategic planning, sponsorship sales, project management, and premium ticket sales company. Elevate is owned by Ticketmaster/Live Nation among other entities.

Elevate will be in charge of selling season tickets and premium seats for the upcoming 2020 XFL season. The XFL’s deal with Elevate Sports Ventures is for two years.

Elevate Sports Ventures CEO

Al Guido, Elevate’s co-managing partner, and CEO knows XFL President Jeffrey Pollack from his four-years as the Chargers’ chief marketing and strategy officer. Guido also has a relationship with the WWE’s Vince McMahon going back when Levi Stadium hosted WrestleMania in 2015.

Elevate will employ around 50 sales representatives, some stationed at XFL headquarters in Stamford, Conn, home of the WWE. Most of the staff will work for the XFL’s eight teams, in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, St. Louis, Seattle, Tampa and the District of Columbia, Guido said.

Working With Throneburg

Elevate Sports Ventures will work jointly with newly hired senior vice president of team business operations Derek Throneburg. He was most recently vice president of customer insight and engagement at Pacers Sports & Entertainment. Throneburg will in charge of the ticketing operation at XFL headquarters.

Over the next 90 days, the XFL is expected to announce its television partners, team names, logos, ticket sales campaign and the league’s spring 2020 schedule.
