Too bad these big time players didn’t get together and form a partnership to strengthen the league, divide up the risk, and invest in the future. Of course as always know-it-all egos get in the way. Plus some want fast cash and some are more patient.

What I don’t want is the NFL to buy this up. I know some do, but I’ve had enough of their decisions. They half-hearted the WLAF and NFLE and will pull the plug at any loss. I lean more to a USFL style of aggressiveness, but that would cost too much now to outbid for players, unless Jeff Bezos came in and decided he’d challenge the whole NFL. But maybe a large partnership that limits league costs can try one more time. TV wants the games, but the games need to be better, the players in the skill positions aren’t good enough for long term health of the league. I think they need to think a little bit bigger than a minor league for the NFL.
