5 More XFL Players Receive NFL Training Camp Invites, Bringing Total to 36

The XFL continues to prove itself as a valuable source of talent for the NFL, with 31 players already securing invitations to attend NFL training camps. As we approach the XFL Championship Game on May 13th in San Antonio, another five players have been offered the opportunity to showcase their skills at NFL training camps, bringing the total to 36.

The following XFL players have received the latest invites:

  1. Freedom Akinmoladun, DE – St. Louis Battlehawks – Kansas City Chiefs
  2. Derrick Kelly, T – San Antonio Brahmas – Carolina Panthers
  3. Stevem Montex, QB – Seattle Sea Dragons – San Francisco 49ers
  4. Austin Proehl, WR – St. Louis Battlehawks – Carolina Panthers/Philadelphia Eagles
  5. Donohvan West, C – Vegas Vipers – Carolina Panthers

Two players worth highlighting from this list are:

Freedom Akinmoladun St. Louis Battlehawks – Defensive End

Akinmoladun has already had a taste of the NFL, having previously tried out with the Miami Dolphins. His solid performance as a defensive end for the Battlehawks caught the attention of the Kansas City Chiefs, who have offered him a chance to attend their training camp.

Austin Proehl, WR – St. Louis Battlehawks – Wide Receiver

Proehl has attracted the interest of not just one but two NFL teams. The Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles have both extended training camp invitations to the talented wide receiver, giving him an opportunity to prove himself on the NFL stage. He finished the XFL season with 224 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

As anticipation builds for the XFL Championship Game, we can expect even more talented players to receive invitations to NFL training camps, reinforcing the league’s reputation as an essential pipeline for football talent.
